Why should students make hand written calculations, while there is always access to internet available.
The end of textbooks is nearby, video / internet is much more efficient
We are living in the middle of an internet revolution. My generation of engineers, are used the have books on their desk for looking up formulas. Every Dutch civil engineer always has / had Nortier nearby. The students of today start googling or will starts searching on youtube if they need specific information. That is why I build this website, the most common formulas for fluid dynamics on the site including the possibilty to make online calculations.
This website is related to the educations of the Delta Academy which are, Water management, Civil Engineering and Delta management. Students will at least use this website when they attend the courses Fluid Dynamics, Rural water management and Urban water management.
So basically this website is mend for our students, former students, future students and everybody interested in Fluid Dynamics. It is obvious that I am not responsible for the results of the calculations.

This is not a website for noobs, you need some basic fluid dynamics knowledge to use this website.
In this post, at the end, you will find some video's which inspired me to start this project.

We leven midden in de internet revolutie, "mijn" generatie ingenieurs is gewend een aantal boeken bij de hand te hebben om even een bepaalde formule op te zoeken. Elke rechtgeaarde "oudere" Waterbouwer heeft Nortier wel ergens onder handbereik liggen. De huidige "internet" generatie gaat als eerste googlen of op youtube zoeken. Daarom deze website, alle formules die te maken hebben met vloeitstofmechanica bij de hand en vervolgens ook nog direct de mogelijkheid om berekeningen online uit te voeren.
Het materiaal op deze website is gerelateerd aan de opleidingen van de Delta Academy (Aquatische Ecotechnologie, Civiele Techniek en Delta Management). Studenten zullen deze website met name gebruiken bij de course Fluid dynamics, Rural water management en Urban water management.
